As a video editor by trade in the age of Final Cut Pro and the REDOne, there's a certain and definite obligation one must have to the Digital Religion of codecs, vectorscopes, rotoscope and meticulous keyframing. And that's all well-and-good; I pray at that altar, pay my tithing, hallelujah and what not.

But when I get behind a camera myself? Oh, I like things simple. Tactile, heavy, cellulose and simple.
